How often should my child see the dentist?

After your child is two years old see your dentist every 6 months.

What should i tell my child before the first visit?

The child’s first visit is important for several reasons. In many cases, it is the child’s first experience with dentistry; in some cases, the child has had a previous unpleasant experience.

You, as parents, should only describe your personal experiences at the dentist in a positive way. Don’t refer to negative experiences.

Don’t talk about ways of treatment or you may influence or frighten your child. It is up to us to explain them to your child with positive words.

Don’t threaten your child with the dentist, when he refuses brush his teeth!

When should i go to the dentist for the first time?

The first question arises when the child cuts his first teeth. Now is a good moment to visit your paediatric dentist.

The first visit is a good time to get to know your child’s dentist. She can give you  information concerning dental hygiene, feeding, use of pacifiers, bottle-feeding, etc.

In a relaxed atmosphere it is easy to gain confidence. We want your child to feel comfortable so that he wants to visit us again. An appointment at the dentist should not be accompanied by fear!

It’s better to go to the dentist before your child feels pain and before problems arise!
